Presentation Day / Dinner Wrap-up

WOW! Was presentation day already a month ago? Does that mean pre-season is literally around the corner for some of the older aged teams? Sure, does! Firstly, I wanted to cover off on presentation day which was a huge success on all fronts. Sure, we had to make a safety call on activities planned for the day for which we will always ensure safety first without compromise, but to have all our wonderful Bullant families together celebrating the year that was, was in its very own way special.

A big thank you to Melanie Meehan and Suki Styant-Browne for the amazing job and effort they put in to create this event and bring it all together. From trophies, to roles filled on the day, female football representation and of course Sam Peet from our friends at the Northern Blues and who could forget the end of year sale on all the Mighty Bullants gear at heavily reduced prices! A massive event organised extremely well and on time too!

Thank you also to our wonderful coaches, assistant coaches and simply amazing team managers who have given up their time over season 2016 to keep us all in order and ensure the teams are represented well and to the best of their ability week in week out.

Here are a couple of great shots form presentation day before we have a sneak peek at the very successful Colts Presentation Night or more so Colts Presentation Event!

Plenty of interest with girls footy making its long overdue appearance at the Mighty Preston Bullants where we were lucky enough to have AFL Victoria send down 2 of their finest in both Louise Stephenson (GWS draftee) along with Rebecca Privitelli (Carlton draftee) who took inquires and a group of lucky girls through their paces out on the field.

A successful day with the club taking some 30 new inquiries for a girls’ team in season 2017 which we are working through at the moment to ensure we get the best possible result of getting as many young girls playing this great game competitively as possible.

Plenty of families enjoyed the day and made the most of a little catch up to discuss the season that was and what laid ahead for the summer period. Great atmosphere and some wonderful end of year presentations too!

The Colts presentation night was a beauty. Dressed to certainly impress was the theme as our young leaders of the club rolled up in their finest alongside in many cases their elegantly dressed partners for what almost appeared to be a Brownlow Night function of sorts. Standing room only was the order of the night as our guest presenter in Life member and Past President Mr Dean Hayes took to the mic and rana very smooth flawless presentation with firstly the Colts 2 going through their vote count followed by the Colts 1 team. For those lucky enough to witness the great video the boys had whipped up together was truly an amazing summary of what the club means to these boys and what the boys have put into the club over the years. A very moving video and a brilliant night and way for the older aged Colts to see out their junior years at the Mighty Preston Bullants.
